But thanks to our great committee, awesome participation from the young group, and generous support of all of the guests, it was a dream that God totally blessed above more than we could have imagined!
Join us as we document an event that was a big and exciting part of our lives this spring: the Serenity Villa Benefit Dinner.

so thankful for a friend who donated the flowers for the event! The hydrangeas were beautiful :).
Wait... who was behind the idea of making all of the chicken cordon bleu again?? It felt like an endless process in the middle of it, but we did make it through eventually! The pounding step took the longest and was the most tiring... the poor quilting ladies downstairs who had a peaceful quilting session in mind!
it was worth it in the end!
we thought the fridge was pretty full on Thursday...
... until Friday.

and this one in the eating area, we had all 160 dinner plates served in the record time of approximately 12 minutes.

we served three kinds of desserts: chocolate poke cake, white chocolate raspberry cheesecake (made by guess who :)), and apple pie!

As part of the dinner, the young group performed some of the songs that we sang on our newly recorded CD! We also had the brand new CD for sale that evening.
Our goal for the evening was to raise $25,000 of which we had a matching grant. When it was all said and done, we raised $41,000, plus the matching grant bringing our total to $65,000 which didn't include the nearly $3,000 in CD income. It was an exciting evening!
I'll say it one more time: we couldn't have done it without everyone that pitched in and the generous support of all of the guests! And above all, God deserves all of the glory.
