We'll Keep Looking For Sunshine

Today was kind of an Eeyore day. You know, the age-old rhyme, "rain, rain, go away, come again some other day." We're feeling it.

Kenan summed it up well this morning, when he woke up, looked at Dad and said in disappointed tone, "Dad, it's just another normal day again?" Yep, just another normal day. But really, we should be more thankful for the normal (even when it's gray?) because how many people are stuck in tough situations and longing for just a normal day?

We enjoyed a little addition to our normal a few days back when we got to keep some special kiddos for a couple days! We were bummed to miss the big wedding out in Oregon, but being able to babysit the kids just about compensated for our disappointment. :)

Mom took the younger kids to meet some good friends at the Children's Museum one day!

He was so much fun to have around!

We spent some time on Saturday doing an Easter craft with potato stamps...

... and having a tea party :)

Glad you could be here, girls!

Did we mention how much we loved having him around?!

Mom and Lils and I took advantage of spring break from my college classes and turned it into an excuse to go shopping all day :). We decided to try out Peoria instead of Bloomington this time and I think it was a success! Too bad it's so much farther to drive... but I think we stayed there long enough to make it worth our time :).

We discovered the best little sandwich shop - McAllisters! Actually Mom and Dad discovered it during their foster class and Mom wanted to take us girls. To all the Peoria locals, you should check it out :).

Well, in closing, we're hoping for a few more brighter days in the forecast! Not only to lift the morale around here a little, but also because the gardens are awaiting some attention...
