Three years ago Jared, Mom, and I did geography. I loved it. We made a pinata that looked like the earth! We put in our windowsill and its been there ever since. We dreamed of having a geography night with other homeschoolers. Well, our dream sort of came true *finally* when us and the Waibels got together and had a geography afternoon. We had all kinds of foods- some good and others not so good. And I was excited to use that pinata.
Here's all us kids and the food.
If you can see on the Menu, under desserts, there's barfi (Indian Toffee). Well that was one of the foods that wasn't so good in fact it was nasty. It pretty much tasted like its name.
We had taken the pinata so after lunch we went out in their garage and started hitting it. It took several hits but finally it went zooming and hit the wall and broke open.
Everybody had a couple of turns hitting it.
The candy was perfectly nasty. I guess what would you expect of candy that's three years old! But it was fun anyway. (Kenan didn't mind the candy)
We had a great time. We went around the world but it was just down the road!!!-Lily
