Got birthdays?

We got a kick out of an email from one of Mom's friends during our birthday season:"Happy Birthday to whom it may concern!" Yes, that's pretty much how it feels when you have birthdays every other day...

of course, this was all going on the week before and after Christmas, which just adds to all the merry making, but ... we are just now getting it posted :(

This may look more like a gender reveal party than we intended, but it was our way of honoring these two birthday kids with something they both enjoy and something I could make!

We had a fun little lunch date with a friend for Kenan and a friend for Lily, and we are thrilled they brought their moms along and some younger siblings, too!

Jared disappeared for the party, but he was happier than ever to be able to have his good ole' buddy, Micah, here to spend his birthday with him. What was even better, his Christmas/birthday present *finally* arrived the day before so he and his friends could spend at least a portion of their time together driving this thing around.

Marcus also enjoyed having an afternoon to spend with Seth, as well as a supper and quartet singing with all the high school boys from church. Dad hosted and us girls disappeared to Bloomington to shop! It was a success, although we don't have any pictures to show for it.

In the midst of all the intense birthday celebration on the home front, I, Faith, enjoyed hosting a themed birthday party with the Moser girls over Christmas break! This is the third party that we've donated to the Fairview Haven auction (read about the American Girl Tea Party here, and the Little Woman Christmas Party here!) and we have enjoyed each unique theme. This year, it was a cowgirl theme! I've never really been much of the cowgirl sort, so it was a little challenging coming up with party ideas for this one. But with the help of some creative friends, I think it was a success!

We hosted the party at Damaris' house in town! We were glad to be so close to Dave's the morning of when we hit a few bumps in the road...  :).

can't take the credit...

We told the girls to come dressed in their cowgirl duds and it was so cute to see them all dressed up! Lily was actually invited to the party and pleased as punch to be a cowgirl for the day...

for their lunch we served a cowgirl mystery meal ... they were so confused to see things like horse treats and dog food on their menu!

We incorporated some skits into the events of the afternoon... they were entertaining!

and some games!

Well, birthdays are over for awhile! Whew!
