Our November

Wow. To answer your first question... yes, we are still alive and doing well ;). I can't believe it's been a month since we've posted! So much has happened this month; not sure what became of our blogging motives, though!

To summarize our month of November, I think traveling and hosting company would be about all we'd have to say. In fact, I think we averaged about 45 hours in the van. We've got our traveling methods down to T - let me tell you :). We made some great memories in Bluffton for JaNon's baptism, then spent a short weekend in Atlanta for more baptisms and late night laughs ;), and lastly a trip to Kansas! (thanks to all who kept the animals happy while we were gone). In between hours in the car, we hosted Dad's family for Thanksgiving, met a new family that needed a place to stay last weekend, and have thoroughly enjoyed all of the little tots that have been in and out these past few weeks!

(now to make up for the inactivity of the past month, enjoy a random assortment of photos :))

mom and dad actually got to connect with one of Grandpa's cousins while we were in Atlanta!

Our trip to Kansas turned out a little different than we were expecting but it was a still a great trip! We joined them for Thanksgiving services, spent the afternoon playing games, and then enjoyed a traditional Thanksgiving meal that Dad prepared for us! That evening they actually had a pretty bad ice storm and we lost power soon after everyone woke up the next morning. Unfortunately, we decided to leave a day early, once Dad broke through the ice casing on our van. Thankful we made it home safely... and Meyer's, see you the end of December to make up for that lost day together :).

some serious concentration here!

Thanksgiving at its finest!

We arrived home Friday evening and then hosted company that weekend. It felt like we had two weekends: one in Kansas and one here... what a life!

loved meeting you girls!

The Sunday before thanksgiving Dad's family braved the ice and snow and joined us here for Thanksgiving! The day before we were out of power for 8 hours, so it proved to be interesting preparing for them :).

a lot of little kids the same age!

This week the Plattner kiddos spent the day here! We did some Christmas crafts and cookies and anything else we could find to keep kids occupied :) (not school, I might add)

We've also enjoyed having Kim's boys here every once in awhile... they are so irresistible and capture us all :).

a lot of little boys all the same age!

And there you have it... our November in one post. Hopefully December brings more posts and a season of love and Christmas cheer!
