Announcement + Invitation!

Most of you have probably heard, but a word of congratulations is still in order, no doubt. After nine years of dedicated service at our local nursing home with the role of Assistant Administrator, Dad is being promoted! Effective January 1st, he will be filling the position of Administrator!! (drum roll please...)

Although he has been the assistant, he has really been doing much of the work of the Administrator, so as far as his workload, not much will change right away. And he gets to keep the same office, which is nice since he just redid it :). I think he's pretty excited about this opportunity and super thankful for all the support he has been given from the board of directors. Also, Rick plans to stay on as the vice president of public relations, and I think they will make the perfect team like that :).

So, if you'd like, send him a quick email to share some words of encouragement and advice (he'll file it in his encouragement file :)). He'll appreciate it!

While we're on the topic of Fairview Haven, we'd like to extend a warm invitation to each one of you. Come join us this Friday evening, November 6th, for Fairview Haven's annual benefit dinner and silent auction!! The auction begins Wednesday the 4th, and ends at 7:30 on Friday. They've got some really awesome items this year (they always do) and a wide variety - I'm sure there will be something you can add a bid to :).

We are excited to be able to donate another traveling supper this year with Lemans and Stollers (if you missed the posts about our travels in March, check it out here)! We are hoping to present it sometime around Easter 2016 and it's called, 'The Power of the Cross'. Who knows what unexpected excitement will occur with this one?! (We're quite anxious to see ourselves! :) )

Also, remember when I posted about the themed birthday party  I hosted with friends? that's on the auction again, too, along with so many other items. (check out fairviewhaven.org for a sneak peak). It's a great event - hope to see you there! :)


PS- So, we really wanted a nice picture of the new administrator, but the best we could do was the one above, which was kindly shared with us by... well, I think I'll keep quiet about who shared it, but anyway, it was taken in 2011 (when he had a few less responsibilities!). The real deal is what you see below, which were taken much more recently (today actually) - they may not be what we had in mind, but they are quite funny. :)
