A December Photoshoot

We had a dilemma. It was early December and we hadn't accomplished 2015 school pictures yet. You see, we had planned for Snapshots by Haylie to do the job this year, but being that we got trapped in the middle of an ice storm during our trip to Kansas, that plan was foiled. So, we created Plan B.

It was a sunny and surprisingly warm Friday afternoon, and what better thing to do than to spend the afternoon taking school pictures?! (insert just a hint of sarcasm. just a bit.). A few of us piled in the van and  headed to Sibley - and Mom took the boys to a farmstead up the road - not knowing what we would find, but hoping it would be a little better than the bare limbs and flat fields that surround us here. And who would have guessed? The small, insignificant town of Sibley - hiding so many vintage and quaint picture perfect places! (some may consider them burn piles or junk yards, but hey, beauty is in the eye of the beholder :)).

Enjoy a little glimpse of our afternoon tramping around Elmer's farmstead, and in the misinterpreted town of Sibley. We might just take the whole family back there someday!

she's a pretty awesome photographer! (yes, that is a road. thank goodness we were in Sibley :))

We're so glad we had such a lovely day and got the job done... and we love how they turned out! Too bad we couldn't count it for two years worth :).-faith
