Breathing in the Autumn Air

Oh, how we love wiener roasts with friends on crisp, fall evenings, and the pouring of rich apple cider into the jugs. The colors of fall, and everything pumpkin. Bonfires and hayrack rides filled up with family and friends. We love breathing in the autumn air. :)

To kick-off our fall, we enjoyed an evening of cider making and caramel apples (thanks to the Lemans for the apples, cider press, and great company to work with:)). We ended up with a nice amount of cider and what's a fall without a caramel apple? :)

the finished product... we definitely don't have them mastered yet, but hey, they turned out a lot better than some other ones I tried to make one year:)

This past weekend, we hosted the young group here for a traveling wiener roast (thanks to great friends for co-hosting :)). We weren't quite sure how everything was going to end up, but I'd say we had a good amount of people attending, and I know we had the ultimate fall evening! What better way to worship than around a campfire with friends?! :)

We started at our house with a wiener roast for supper, then a hay rack ride took a us to a grain bin where we sang a little while, and then back to the neighbors for dessert and singing around the fire :).

In between weekend wiener roasts, we've filled our days with school and work and everything else that has to be done to make a family run :). September went by so fast, and October won't be here for long. But while we're here today, we'll keep  breathing in the autumn air while it lasts.
