When I turned ten, I had a sleepover celebration and invited Kate, Lexi, and Megan over - I remember having loads of fun. But when I look back over the (almost!) 4 years since then, I'm pretty amazed at how our friendship has really blossomed! We've spent lots of time together since then, and have created so many hilarious and sometimes rather silly memories :). We've laughed together till our bellies ached. We've slept four in a queen bed. We've done devotions and prayed together. We've cried together. We've been friends through sunshine and shade.
With Knapps in Atlanta, things have been different, and sometimes tough. But there has been so many blessings that I've already experienced! And never fear, we still spend lots of time together when we get the chance :)
All of the Knapp kids were back this past week so in the midst of all that was going on, we managed to squeeze them in a little! (that was so tough, you know...). Lexi, Megan and Kate got to come home with us on Thursday night, and then spent the whole day Friday here! It was just like turning ten all over again - and believe me, we added lots more to our memory bank :)

| four years ago we did a hair chain... |
 |
| ...and braided our hair in little tiny braids. |
When they were here on Friday, we came up with another crazy thing to do together - braid our hair together!! We tried doing it in a circle so we were all connected together, but that was rather stifling :) So, we ended up in a long chain :) It felt pretty neat to be connected but after trying to get anywhere, we decided it wasn't very practical...
We spent some time (or a lot of time) enjoying the lovely outdoors! And of course - we took lots of pictures :)
"A friend loveth at all times!"
"Good friendship isn't about being inseparable, it's about being separated and nothing changing."
And of course we spent some time singing and practicing around the piano :)

And then - the best for last :) Mom actually let us play Chopped in her kitchen this time!! She did a great job - thanks Mom!! She gave us rice krispies, chocolate chips, turkey lunch meat, and a lemon. The kitchen was a flurry of activity for the 40 minute preparation time but there were some pretty sweet results! |
 |
| Lexi and I came up with a gourmet sandwich and chocolate drizzled over ice cream, and we lost. The judges said, sandwich was too dry, chocolate too hard, and we were sent to the chopping block :( We were good sports though :) |
 |
| The boys (who showed up just in time to play) got second place with their yummy stir-fry and chocolate drizzled apples! |
 |
| And Megan and Kate won with their picnic theme! |
 |
Great job guys - even if I wasn't on the winning team, it was still a ton of fun :) (please excuse my face - don't know where that came from...)
And so, this brings me to the end of my post. I wish I could repeat all of the special memories we've made ever since our friendship began, but we can't, so we'll just keep making more :) Thanks for being such fabulous friends :) -Faith
"Though miles may lie between us, we are never far apart, for friendship doesn't count miles - it's measured by the heart."
stay tuned, the boys will hopefully be sharing some of their memories soon! |
