Counting on our Cousins: Part 2

May has been full of cousin time around here!! After completing school for the year, our grand finale before the summer schedule began was a trip to Kansas with Grandpa and Grandma! This time, all of us kids got to go, and Mom and Dad enjoyed some time alone here at home :) We headed out Sunday after church and arrived safely just in time for bed -huh!! :)

Cole's bucket calf for 4H arrived while we were there so Jared got to be a little 'farm boy' :)

I apologize for all of you who saw these pics on Haylie's blog already... I was too lazy to take my camera :)

On Monday and Tuesday, Marcus and Gabe spent the whole day (like seriously, it was about a ten hour day) helping measure and plant grapes for a guy who was planting a vineyard. We didn't really see much of them, but when we did they were usually tired, dirty, and hungry :)

Taking a walk with Grandma!
Jared and Cole spent some time out in the fort on Monday. They called themselves the purple-wood cutting cousins because when they cut and striped the bark off of the trees, it was purple!

Tuesday afternoon, Gramps took the boys out fishing so us girls put our heads together and came up with a fun, refreshing activity - with the help of Pinterest, that is :). We took a two liter pop bottle and poked a bunch of holes in it. Then using some duct tape (it always works on everything, you know...) we attached it to the hose, threw it over the basketball hoop and had a hanging sprinkler! But, it was in the shade, so then we had another idea - we hung it on the skid loader bucket and put the skid loader over the trampoline. Good times!!

We fit in a quick game of settlers with the boys one evening...

The younger four had tons of fun singing together - actions and all! They make a pretty sweet quartet!!

Cousins are so special!

We all had a fabulous time while we were there- thanks so much to the Meyers, and Grandma and Grandpa for hauling us all there! Now it's time for all the Meyer's to ship out here for a week :) -Faith
