Last Friday wasn't just an ordinary day. It was a special day! And not even just a special day (because isn't every day a special day? :)), but an extra special day!! Mom and Lily and I have been wanting to host a mother/daughter tea for a while (just because we need more things to do, you know) and it was finally the day!

| Our table for the event - we were so excited about this that we had it all set up in our living room from Tuesday -Friday :) |
 |
some of the centerpieces - unfortunately we had to buy flowers this time cause nothing was blooming!

 |
| The younger girls got to sit at another table by themselves |
 |
| A tableful of love! Thanks everyone for coming!! |
We didn't have a chance to take pictures of the food (It's really awkward taking pictures of your guests, much less their food :)) but we served chicken asparagus cups, spinach tortellini soup, fruit kabobs, relishes, and dad's famous cheesecake with rhubarb sauce! Oh, and tea :) We spent some time after lunch all sharing something that reminded us of our mothers. We all really enjoyed our afternoon and I hope our guests did too :) It was a lovely way to spend the day -or part of the day, anyway!

| just for the fun of it - a picture of us three! |
So after the quests left, we headed outside with our mud boots, and stomped around trying to cover strawberries in the nastiest May 16 weather Mom can remember. It could have easily turned a lovely day into a not-so-lovely day, but we didn't let it! When we came in Dad had arrived with pizza for supper (he was afraid he would get served leftovers from the tea, and he probably would have), a gorgeous bouquet of flowers for Mom n' Dad's anniversary, a birthday cake, and balloons!

| Happy 15th anniversary Mom & Dad!!! |
After a birthday cake and celebration at home, we headed out to the cemetery with balloons for Malachi's birthday. Despite the nasty weather, we sent a rainbow of love his way!
So, you see, it wasn't just an ordinary day. It was a day filled with love and remembrance for lots of special people that are close to our hearts! -Faith
