So, we've decided to give all of our faithful blog readers (maybe some of them are even our customers!:)) a tour of our farm each month this summer! It won't be anything huge - just pictures of the not-so-perfect gardens, and anything else in nature that's new around here!!
I went out and took a few pictures on May 10, and then a few more today, and it's really neat to see the difference in how much things grow! And yes, weeds are included in that. In fact, they grow faster than anything around here. We have a goal this summer to accomplish 30 minutes each in the garden weeding every day - it's gone as planned this week so far, but believe me, there are still lots of weeds!
Our schedule this year has been baskets Monday and Thursday, along with Farmer's Market on Wednesday (which we only have to manage about once a month). It's gone good so far, but then again, we haven't done too much yet!

| and a picture of essentially the same area today! (notice the increase in weeds, as I mentioned. Sigh.) |
| A picture of our chickens earlier in may, |
| and a picture today!! They're bigger, and uglier :) |
| Our spring garden with a splash of peonies |
| and irises! |
| this one strawberry is getting close! Don't be fooled though, it's still partly green on the other half :( |
| And more from our garden today - lots of work to do! |
we added some landscaping to the front of the house for a little something. Thanks, Erika!

I was tinkering around on pic monkey today with some pictures I had taken around our farm at the beginning of may (Dahlia, crab apple blossoms, and ivy geranium) and have come to the conclusion that I love it! I also love Mom's camera :)
And that's really all that is blog-worthy on the farm just now :) June will be here soon and with it comes some kittens (hopefully)!! But until the June update, we'll continue weeding each day, and if any of you have some spare time, come on over! -Faith |
