Thursday, July 25, was Dad's birthday and he choose to have pizza in the park to celebrate! It was a beautiful evening for a picnic, and then walking/rollerblading after supper!
Happy Birthday Dad!! We love you!
That whole week Jared and Lily had swimming lessons, and we decided it would be great to all go and have a picnic one of the days. We choose Friday and Mom even saw that Subway had buy one get one free that day - everything was going to be perfect!
Well...Friday was a drizzly, raining sort of day, with probably a high of 65 degrees - and Mom was wrong; custumer appreciation at Subway was the next week! But, we made the best of our day, and swam anyway and then settled for an indoor picnic with friends we met who were also taking swimming lessons!
On Saturday, there was an outdoor play in Bloomington of the Secret Garden! We went a little earlier for a picnic, and took our friend Helga who is visiting from Hungary this summer. She came to work at Fairview Haven to practice her English and we were really glad to get to know her! It was a nice family evening, although the play didn't quite follow the story line - and it was actually pretty cold!
Have you been having any picnics in the perfect picnic weather? -Faith
What a lovely day it is
To have our lunch outside
Let's take a little
picnic
To eat by the riverside
What shall we put in it?
A sandwich, fruit and pop
Now all we need to
do
Is find a nice place to stop
Sitting at the riverside
A picnic laid out in the sun
A wonderful
little picnic spot
Where we'll have lots of fun
Soon it's time to leave the place
It's time to pack away
But we'll come back
tomorrow
It's been such a lovely day.

How do you have time for so much leisure time?
