Meeting New People, Doing New Things

A few weeks, we kept a family from Ohio overnight. It was so much fun because they had two girls around my age (and two girls younger than me too)!! On Saturday, we went to the park and had a picnic!

Yum Yum!

At the park, they had a sandbox and we buried our hands and feet in the sand!

We all slept in a double bed! We must have played hard because we were tired!

Here are all the kids on Sunday morning.
A week or so later, we met some more new people - three very sweet and cute little boys who are our neighbors across the field but we didn't know them! Their parents bought our "Dreamy Date night" from the Fairview Haven Auction and we were finally getting it done. We spent the whole night outside, running through the kiddie pool and playing with bubbles (see below) and riding bikes. They were very easy to please and they were very good!

Wow! Look at that bubble. Mom always wanted one of these BIG bubble things. She saw one at the homeschool convention but it was just too much money and she thought she could probably just make one easier. (Ha) Well, that day we were at the park, we saw someone we kind of know (well, what we know about her is that she is really, really nice) and she had one. Mom went over to ask where she got it and she GAVE it to us!! Its awesome! (not just for the kids either :) )

Did you know you can use fly swatters, cookie cutters, straws and hula hoops to do really fun things with bubbles? We've tried all kinds of things this summer- but these big bubbles still win the prize. -Lily
