Camping!!

On Father's Day after supper,  Uncle Dean and Aunt Dawn stopped at our house, picked me up, and took me back to their house. We got to their house at 10:00, and an hour later Grandpa and Grandma got back from Kansas with some of the Herrmann kids and Gabe. The next morning, Grandpa showed up and took Gabe, Todd, and me fishing and camping. We arrived at the farm pond, and were so hot that we got our swim trunks on, and jumped in. We swam and fished the rest of the afternoon, and then went into town and got pizza. When we got back we swam some more, and about 9:30 we went back to the cabin. The cabin was a small building with a couch, a piano, a dresser, and a ladder up the wall to get up stairs. Upstairs there was a few mattresses where we slept. We went to bed at 10:30, and were up at the crack of dawn to do some more fishing and at noon we went back to Grandpa's house, got all cleaned up and took a nap.The next day, Dad picked me up so I could go camping with them at Yogi Bear, which you know all about by now. So all together, that gave me a nice, sweet week off! -Marcus.

After camping with Edelmans, and then going back to Princeville (which meant more time with Grandpa) and then having the birthday party, we had some more time to spend with cousins before we headed back home (to all the work and weeds there). We put on a play for our family! It was little scenes from Anne of Green Gables, which we all pretty much know by heart anyway. The adults really laughed, so they must have enjoyed it!
