Now that you all know how spoiled Lily was all week, I think it is time for you to hear what happened for the rest of the family! The three boys and I spent the time in Princeville with Grandma and Grandpa and at U. Dean and A. Dawn's house. We had so much fun and made so many great memories! Actually, we had so much fun that I only took two pictures. So, this post will probably not be quite as interesting as Lily's :).
On Tuesday we arrived at G&G's around mid afternoon. As you already heard, the boys went to look for Grandpa's boat, and when they found it, they got a little carried away and spent some time fishing. When they got back, we had supper, and then poor Grandpa had to go all the way to Proctor to get the fish hook out!
Wednesday morning Grandpa took the boys out to U. Dean's and Grandma and I spent the morning baking. We got a lot accomplished, but right about lunch time, the kitchen was a disaster, and Grandma noticed that the water in the sink wouldn't go down. If the water drained in one side of the sink, it bubbled up in the other. Finally, Grandma got it all to go down and I went on making coffee cake. Then, I realized that water was pouring out of the dishwasher onto the floor, because all of the water Grandma thought she had drained, actually was filling the dishwasher! We piled towels on the mess and called Grandpa and told him to hurry home. After we gobbled down our lunch, Grandpa tried plunging the sinks (with a toilet plunger) but when that didn't do the trick he realized the problem was far bigger than he could repair. So, Grandma and I lugged all of the dishes into the laundry room sink, washed and dried them, and then brought them back to the kitchen and put them away. Thank goodness they got the sink fixed the next morning!
I caught a ride home with U. Dean's family after church and on Thursday we spent the whole day setting up for their Annual Plant Sale. We labeled pots, washed them off, organized them and so on. Thurs. afternoon, we made cookies and then enjoyed some outdoor activity!
On Friday the plant sale began with rain pouring down. We got a total of three customers. After lunch Grandma came and took Noah and Jared back with her. This left the house strangely quiet and by mid afternoon we were all feeling a bit restless. So, we all got out our instruments and made a CD! We had Todd and Marcus on the guitars, Laura on the mandolin, and Elise and I on the violins. It was a lot of fun and we were pretty satisfied with how we sounded considering we recorded with an MP3 player, we didn't take much time to practice, and we are all still taking lessons or are teaching ourselves. Anyway, it was a great way to spend that afternoon!
On Saturday we got more customers for the plant sale and then right before lunch Grandpa came and took us back to Grandpa and Grandma's. That afternoon Mom and Dad came and we went out to eat at a Mexican restaurant with Grandma B. for Mother's Day. We had a great day on Sunday and arrived home Sun. evening. On the way home we picked up an extra special package which we will post about later!!
Monday morning came a little earlier than we would have liked and we spent most of the day doing laundry. That's what happens when you're gone all week!
Stay tuned; more posts coming later! -Faith

So, what was the special package???? The suspense is killing us... ;)
