Serving in the Trenches- A Week in Mexico Part II

(originally posted at all His wondrous works)
This is Marcus and Derek.  We are supposed to be working at the eye clinic right now, but instead we have been commanded against our will to take our turn at writing.  One evening all the men went with Grant to dig trenches in their new home.  We all took our turn at digging, however, some of us more than others. I won't mention any names. We have also enjoyed going with Grant to his work shop.  We are making a crib for Grant and Hannah's baby and listening to Grant tell jokes.  Today while I was at the clinic Marcus helped Grant glue together the railings. They parked the truck in front of an old car and while they were working the owner told Grant he needed to move his truck.  When Grant asked why he exclaimed, "Because my car's  reverse broke."  In our free time we have a great time playing basketball and riding bikes - one of which does not own brakes.  At the clinic Dave and I have been doing the eye charts although I did help Marcus in the dispensing room one morning.
Here's Marcus slaving away in the trenches while everyone else is resting. :)
