Last week, as many of you already know, our family traveled with friends to Mexico to visit family who are serving there and also to help with the eye clinic. The following post was originally posted at all his wondrous works- now that we are home, we are going to get these descriptive and colorful posts over here for our very own :) so that we have no problems remembering the absolutely wonderful trip we've just been blessed with! (not that we are really fearful of forgetting)
Hello Everyone!! This is Faith and Kate writing today! As Hannah said before, we arrived here (in Ixtlan) Tuesday morning but were very tired since we flew through the night. Here are some pictures of our midnight ride:

| Waiting for our shuttle... |
| ....and waiting to board the plane. |
We arrived at the airport just in time for breakfast! Grant took us to a really great restaurant which we will call the Burrito Place (since no one knows the name)!
| Kara B's burrito (not everyone filled there's with tomatoes:) ). |
Today (Wednesday) we had a great day (It isn't even over yet)!! Here's a few pictures of what people did all day......
| The boys enjoyed playing basketball some throughout the day. |
We started the eye clinic at the church at about 8 o'clock and stopped about 2. We were pretty busy for our first day.
| We got the job of fixing and fitting glasses. We really enjoyed doing it and hope to do more although it was difficult communicating sometimes since we don't know many words in Spanish. As you can see, we had people write some Spanish phrases on the dry erase board. |
| Bryan checking out a client's eyes. |
| Here Dave is doing the eye wall charts with a client. It was interesting watching him communicate too (he also had a notebook which had a bunch of Spanish phrases and he actually did a great job:) )! |
| Some kids from the school signing in for an exam. |
| While everyone else was occupied at the clinic, the two Kara's and the two little boys went to the market to get the days food items. |
When they returned, Jared and Kyle (the moms helped too) made some limeade for us! It was delicious!
Now that you know what we did all day, we thought you might enjoy some funnies :)!
1. While waiting for clients one moment today, Dave, Kate, and Faith were standing and admiring an adorable Mexican baby boy (at least we think it was a boy). Faith was saying how she wished she could hold him and Dave told her to go ask. She told him that it probably wouldn't work very well, since she didn't know what to say. He responded by telling Faith, very seriously that the word for Baby was Papoose! Oops...wrong culture!
2. Grant took the four boys to his workshop this afternoon. On the way there, Grant was telling jokes, and Kyle piped up with his own. He said, "Marcus, do you know what I like about you? Oh...oops! I was thinking of your Grandpa!!"
3. Today at the eye clinic, an old woman brought in her almost blind son. When Dave called her up to do the eye wall chart, he told her to stand behind the line and proceeded with more instructions. Right then, she started on a whole string of Spanish words. When finally Dave could get a word in, he exclaimed, "No Espanol!!" She replied with an "Oh!" and when Hannah was called to interpret, Dave realized that the lady had been trying to say that it was her son that needed the eye testing, not her!
Today was a wonderful day, and tomorrow you will hopefully get the days events from the boys!
