Gingerbread Joy

First we had to make gingerbread.

Then we cut out the shapes for gingerbread houses. We all had a lot of fun with that because Mom let us eat a bunch of dough. Then we glued them together with a glue gun which Dad could not do because the gingerbread pieces would not stick together. But Mom could easily.

So when those were done we went to Fairview Haven to decorate the gingerbread houses with the residents. This year there were about thirty kids making houses! Some of my friends were there. I used a bunch of different candies. I like to use gum drops and golden grahams. This year I put a Andes mint on it too which I put on there so I could eat it later. Marcus was working with Kenan, which was a very interesting experience because Kenan couldn't figure out how to decorate with the candy instead of eating it! He tried to put the candies on their house, and somehow each time, they ended up in his mouth! -Jared
