Fairview Haven's 50th anniversary celebration was a couple of weeks ago. It was so much fun! Fairview Haven did a great job at getting everything arranged. We did the farmer's market and we also invited some of our friends to help us out with it. We had a lot of vegetables and baked goods.
There were also a lot of activities and games for little children such as miniature horse rides, a petting zoo which included ducks, puppies, a calf, and much more, and bounce houses:
All afternoon, us kids just did whatever we wanted to with our friends. Mom and Dad worked at the Farmer's Market, so we always knew where to find them. We even ate whenever we wanted to. There were lemon shake-ups, pork burgers, corndogs, and corn on the cob. They also had ice-cream cones which was Kenan's favorite part by far! When no one was paying attention to him, he would just go up to the ice cream table and just stand there with the most adorable look on his face that they couldn't resist giving him another one!!

Another thing they had going on in the afternoon was an old time photo booth. That was the best part! They had a lot of clothes to dress up in and then they would take a picture for you!
As you can see, our family took full advantage of the photo booth! but so did everyone else- they were busy all evening. In the evening, Fairview Haven had their annual ice cream social and served Harv's homemade ice cream. It was a great day! Everybody had so much fun - especially Jared! On the way home, Jared informed us that he had forgotten to eat supper! He hadn't eaten anything- not even an ice cream cone!! -Faith

that was a lot of fun. That's so funny about Kenan eating so many ice cream cones! and about
ReplyDeleteJared forgetting to eat any at all! Your blog is so much fun to read. ~Esther
oh, I meant to ask you what RA meant by the books you've been enjoying. I think the letters by the book is the initial of who read that book, right? But no one is RA in your family are they? ~Esther
ReplyDeleteYes, the letter by the name of the book is the initial of the person who read it, and RA is Read Aloud, meaning Mom read that book aloud to us.
