Somethings Old, Somethings New

So, this year I am in 7th grade, and school is getting harder and harder just like it is supposed to. This year, all my school work is new (different curriculums than I used before) except for math. For writing and vocabulary, and I am doing a program called Write with World, which is published by World Magazine. For grammar, I am doing something called Fix It, which is basically just correcting mistakes on passages they give me. Science, is Apologia General Science by JW Wile. Now for science, instead of just reading through my text book, I am doing the coarse online at Virtual Home School Group: a free online homeschool coop. The teacher lectures, and I take quizzes and exams  graded by the computer, and I also do the experiments in the book, type up my data and summary for the experiment and then upload them unto the VHG site for extra credit. Here are a few pictures of some experiments I did:

I also am starting Spanish (Rosetta Stone) this year. I really like it! So that is about all of my school work (except math which I despise) and we are getting to the exciting part! I recently started taking professional piano lessons in Bloomington every other week. I've been taking from Mom for about eight years, and she was sort-of running out of things to teach me, so I am moving on to someone else! So, every other Tuesday night we go to Bloomington and I have an hour piano lessons, and Marcus actually is taking professional guitar lessons at the same time, so it works out pretty good! Another thing that I just started is after my violin lessons every Thursday, I have a music program at the Nursing Home. Most of the time I will just be playing the piano, but a few weeks, maybe I can add some violin, or get Marcus to play his quitar with me or something like that! So, anyway, that is all I have to say, so..more later! ~Faith
