1. This week we had the opportunity to start a new choir! With Dad as the director, we are beginning this endeavor of teaching local homeschool kids how to sing and hopefully having a lovely performance sometime later this year :). It's not like we necessarily needed something added to the schedule, but because we like to sing and we have friends who like to as well, we were encouraged it was something worth tackling. We don't have any pictures from our first session on Monday (Mom must have been pretty involved, too) but hopefully we will at some point. What we really need is a picture of our driveway as the session begins and ends....
2. We hosted game night this week. It kind of feels like our game night group doesn't get documented too terribly much, but it's still a part of our lives whether we like it or not. Haha, just kidding ;). This group knows our strengths and weaknesses pretty well (especially the latter) and still love us for it, for which we are thankful ;). We love getting together as families once a month! This week we used our competitive energy to package 72 hygiene kits for hurricane victims in a total of five minutes. That felt good! If only we could have gathered the supplies that quickly (another story for another time...).
We played some minute to win-it games as well :)
3. We are on our fourth week of school already! This week was full of tests and exams for several of us. On top of that, the State surveyors showed up at the nursing home this week which basically equals all of our exams put together for dad... and then some. But actually, we were thrilled that they showed up this week leaving us free to enjoy a week away coming up soon for our 2017 family vacation!
4. We enjoyed getting to make cider one evening this week with some good friends! When they have the apples, and the press, we couldn't help but accept the invitation :). We enjoyed working together and will definitely enjoy the cider that we got to bring home!
Thanks for reading along :).
