December Daily

December has been a good month. Not too busy, surprisingly, but a good mix of preparing for the holidays, finishing up school for the semester, and fun family activities!

A couple of Tuesdays ago, we enjoyed volunteering at Midwest Food Bank with some friends. We spent our morning bagging up six large boxes of cornflakes. When we were finished we smelled like cornflakes and had cornflakes in places you can't imagine, but it was a satisfying feeling!

the old saying proved true, "many hands make light work..."

The ice storm and wind chill we had around here this past weekend made chores a little harder than normal... I mean, like I would know :). But I do know how difficult it was to go get Marcus from work on Monday... in fact, Mom and I never made it there (thanks, Quinn!). Let's just say we're glad it's melted :).
Jared faithfully locks up the chickens and dog every night... there may or may not be a certain motivator involved.

and Marcus keeps up with his chores at Zehr's!

On Sunday we enjoyed some Christmas Caroling at Saint Joe in Bloomington with some friends and then enjoyed hanging out together at Pizza Ranch! It was an enjoyable evening... there was something magical about walking up and down the halls and singing Christmas carols :).

Kenan, Mom, and Lily enjoyed our annual tradition of decorating gingerbread houses together with friends at the nursing home! Always something they look forward to :).

Jared and I enjoyed spreading Christmas cheer by playing music at two local nursing homes with friends this past week!
if I could only master smiling while playing...

And there you have it: a few of the daily happenings around here this past month! We are thoroughly enjoying a day just with our family here to celebrate Christmas today - it's always a highlight! Looking forward to more celebration this weekend with family, and then we have a full Christmas break planned :). Till later! -faith
