A Week of Hope :)

The week after Leman Stay-cation, Hope was at our house. We had lots of fun like we always do! The tent was still set up from our Stay-cation so Sunday night, Jared, Hope, and I slept in the tent. We all slept terrible. We woke up at about 5 in the morning.  The next night we slept in the tent again.  We all slept soooooooo good. The third night, I don't know about the other two occupants, but i didn't sleep that well. Part of the reason why was because Jared rolled over onto the flashlight and so it was on all night. 

Other than sleeping in the tent, we filled  our week with games, trips to the creek, croquet, swimming, working around the farm, baking, running the market, laughing, creating, and enjoying the time together!

Our neighbor's cat came over on Monday.  We named it Motorboat because it purred so much.
 It climbed up the basket ball hoop and couldn't get down. So we had to rescue it.  

We played croquet a lot. I never won though.

We didn't quite make a pie a day this year, but we did make a very good zucchini pie!

We found a BUNCH of caterpillars and put them in a bucket. They've all made their chrysalises now and one has hatched! We hope they all hatch successfully. 

One night Hope, Jared, Faith, Mom, and I biked into town. Then Dad met us at DQ with the other two. It was great except that Mom's chain kept falling off- good thing for Jared!

Of course we had to spend one afternoon at the creek! 

The week went way too fast! We ended it by making the trip to Kansas to Cameron and Corrine's wedding. 

We traveled out to Kansas Friday afternoon. We arrived about 10pm. We went to the wedding about 12 pm the next day. At the end of the day my shoe felt like it was just about to break. I looked down at it and there was a huge crack. I had to wear A. Joni's shoes for church on Sunday.

I'm already looking forward to next year's stay, Hope!  -Lily 

It was special to see my cousins two weekends in row! And of course everyone loves uncle Mitchy Mouse!-Jared
