Dad's 40th birthday :).
He's officially 40 and now that everything's over with we can share how we celebrated! We were under strict instructions not to surprise him.... but we did anyway :) I mean, how can you not?! We had to do something, just a little bit of fun - but we knew he'd be pretty upset if we went all out. So we kept it sweet and simple :).
We decided that we'd have a little fun and make some T-shirts to celebrate the occasion (all of his trips to Princeville with the whole moving ordeal helped us out with this one :)). We planned to come into his office and surprise him wearing the shirts on Friday as his b-day was the next day, but when his awesome office girls called and said they planned to celebrate Wednesday, we switched gears and planned our parties together.
Dad and I had to go to drivers ed that morning and when we arrived back to his office the rest of the crew was there in their T-shirts, the office was decorated, and the cheesecake was ready! He wasn't totally surprised because of comments made by some of his staff, but surprised enough:).

We spent some time together as a family celebrating later in the week, and then on Sunday we had some friends over! No more surprises though... not until he turns fifty, anyway :) Love you now and always will, Dad! -faith
ps- it wasn't too bad, was it, Dad?
