Life lesson learned: limit moving from house to house to the least amount possible:).
We were reminded last weekend that moving is just simply a pain! Thankfully Grandma was only moving accross town (from her house to a smaller apartment) and not across the country. But still, all the time that goes into packing everything up as efficiently as possible, and then simply unpacking it all again and having to find a place for it....
Grandma may or may not have picked the hottest and most humid weekend of the summer to move. Either way, it was really hot and going from air conditioning to heat and back in again almost made it worse! We survived though, (with a lot of sodi breaks :)) and Grandma is now settled into an apartment that is just the perfect size and will be easier to manage! It was nice to be able to work with Grandma, aunts, and uncles, and we found some pretty special keepsakes!
The house she was moving out of had an attic and had been in the family for quite some time. This meant that there were piles and piles of stuff in the attic from years ago that all had to come down. Oh and did you know that when it is hot and humid outside, it's even worse in an attic?! A thermometer placed up there Friday afternoon read 120 - and remember it's breathless. Thankfully the guys came to the rescue and forfeited sleeping in on Saturday morning to catch some cooler temps!

| we filled more than two trailers with stuff that was sent to an auction. we laughed at this trailer that the auctioner brought us but hey, it worked!. |

| thanks to some wonderful ladies who provided dinner Friday night, and the leftovers lasted for Saturday lunch! |
Thankfully the house sold quickly and Grandma is all settled in at her new apartment! We're hoping our trips to Princeville can slow down a little now... although it's a good way to get driving hours:) -faith
