Happy 4th of July to all of our faithful blog-readers! The 4th is a special day in the history of America. In looking back on some past celebrations, we decided that we've done some pretty fun things over the years! We thought we'd share some of our celebrations :).
In 2008, we hosted an extended family reunion in Fairbury. This brought the Meyers to Sibley to watch fireworks with us!

For something special in 2010, we invited some good friends here for a festive supper and then fireworks at Sibley!

In 2011, Grace was here to help our family celebrate! And what do you know... we sat and podded peas while we waited for the fireworks to start :)
2013 was the year we spent the 4th of July in Deerfield with the Lemans! We enjoyed a cookout and other outdoor excursions while we were there, too :).
And then last year, we started off our trip to Colorado with a pitstop in Bern on the 4th of July! I'm pretty sure they beat any fireworks we've ever seen... wish we could be there this year, too! :)
Today we got lots done around the property and spent the evening with good friends and fireworks! How did you celebrate?
