Well, actually, it looked a lot like Christmas a long time ago, and I've had this blog post in mind for a long time. But our days have been filled with finishing school before Christmas break, all sorts of Christmas preparations, caroling, and so much more - It's been a whirlwind of a month with cookies, crafts, and concerts - no time for blogging!
(how did it become totally up to me anyways? ahem...) Anyway, here is a post filled with a smattering of things we've filled our days before Christmas with {we just keep adding to it!}.
Every year we decorate gingerbread houses with our homeschool group. This year Jared, Lily and I were the only ones who could make it as the others were sick (I think we are finally over it now - hopefully we can keep it that way!). Kenan was really bummed, but this week he got to decorate his gingerbread house with Dad at home so that made him happy :).

| a few Christmas decorations |
Mom decorated her shelf for Christmas a few weeks ago... she sprinkled fake snow up there too - you couldn't see it very well so she piled it on. It was great until Grant had to dig up there for some information on the light bulbs. He got caught in a mini snow storm! :)
We decided to do something a little different with our Christmas cookies this year. We picked an evening that we were all home and made all our cookies at once! It was on the verge of being too much for one night, but it was lots of fun looking back on it (and once we got all the dished done!).

the finished products!! It was a big evening :)
The younger kids have been doing a lot of Christmas art projects and crafts this past week. They love listening to music or stories while they do it (preferably Gift of the Magi or music from the Nutcracker :)). Jared's the true artist of the family but the rest of us just kinda tag a long and pretend:). |
 |
| yes... it's upside down and I don't know how too change it... |
 |
| Last sunday was our Christmas program. Kenan got to wear his suit and told us he looked sharp.... |
 |
| ...and "my teachers are going to love me" :) |
I hope your days have been filled with lots of Christmas cheer during this wonderful time of the year! We still have lots more coming up so stay tuned for the day I actually have time to post about it!
(or maybe someone else would like to take their turn??) Merry Christmas from the Bluniers!! -Faith
I'm sure Kenan's teachers DO love him...and so do his aunts and uncles! We're looking forward to seeing you all HEALTHY in a few days!
