Double Duty in the Dining Room

Lately, our dining room has been very multipurpose. Depending on the day of the week, it may be a piano studio, or a lab room (with horrendous odors), or a preschool classroom! But most frequently, it's just a family room where everyone enjoys being together, the piano gets played constantly, and the computer shuts down in the middle of what you are working on. :)

Kenan's sunday school class has preschool together once a week, and it gets to be at our house - it's actually just four students this time: Kenan, Zachary, Leah and Florence. Mom gets to be the teacher and Kenan gets to be the perfect little preschool boy that gets lots of attention :).

four precious four year olds :)

For school this year, I am taking biology, and Shea has been my wonderful lab partner! :) The first project we did was collect pond water in four different jars, and grow bacteria in them. Then we were supposed to identify the bacteria in the microscope. It was really interesting, and all the hands on with the microscope makes everything really neat (thanks to Stollers!!). We also get to do some dissecting together sometime during the school year.

\our four jars full of pond water - one with grass, another with rice, third one with egg yolk and lastly soil. As soon as the jars were opened the stench was terrible! nasty...

Stay tuned... if our computers cooperate (huh! doubtful...) we should have more posts coming soon! - Faith
