Our Stay at the Knapp Inn

We made our reservations at the Knapp Inn weeks in advance, and this time there was "vacancy" when we arrived! Our stay was absolutely the best - with plenty of comfortable beds, tons of delicious food, and most of all, being hosted by some of the best friends in the world :).

Our drive down on Thursday took us approximately 10 hours and 10 minutes, and we arrived at our stop for supper exactly on time (Great job, Dad :) ) We actually met Dad's cousin, who just moved to Atlanta with his new wife, Brittany, for supper at a barbecue restaurant!

Gary is the handy guy who played a lot of the accompaniment on our C.D.
As soon as we pulled into the Knapp's Inn, the van door was flung open and everyone was out in a matter of seconds - we were really excited!! We got all settled in and unpacked for our stay, and spent the rest of the evening talking and playing a few games. It wasn't until the parents went to bed that the real fun started! Lexi, Megan, and I put our heads together and decided to have a little fun with the little boys by drawing mustaches on their faces while they were sleeping (with washable marker - never fear). It was so funny to hear them in the morning when they discovered that they all had mustaches on!!

The twin's mustaches were still a little visible even after lots of scrubbing :)

Kenan and Paige had lots of fun together!

Marcus and Seth spent the morning working on the chicken coop and getting it ready for chickens that the Knapp's are hoping to get sometime this summer!

It was a lovely day full of smiles!
They wanted to feed the horse apples, but the horse wasn't too interested...
Lexi, Megan, and I had lots of fun color-coordinating our clothes and taking pictures together during the morning :)

So thankful for all my lovely friends :)

We enjoyed a picnic for lunch on Friday!

The younger kids loved the little toy gator- we were a little worried they were headed straight down the hill a couple times, but they always caught themselves!

During that afternoon, the Moms took us older kids to do some shopping (which is when Seth and Marcus got a little carried away in Walmart...). Afterwards we were treated to Starbucks! (thanks, Lexi!)
It's sure a good thing the Mom's showed up when they did:)

We squeezed in a little time to face-time Kate since we missed her so much :)
Friday night we enjoyed singing and devotions together, and then some games that lasted late into the night. Let me tell you - when parents start getting slap happy while trying to play games, things get really crazy! We'll stop with the details right there!!

Seth and Marcus decided they wanted to camp out on Friday night. We really didn't think they would last that long especially since their tent was pretty far out in the timber and it was supposed to rain. But after us girls finally crawled out of bed Saturday morning, we found that they were still sleeping out there - it was almost 10:00 in the morning!!

As you all know, we had a fabulous day enjoying the sunshine on Saturday at Stone Mountain! Sunday it was a little rainy outside but our hearts were full of sunshine (and we were all a little rosy :)). We had a great day at the Atlanta church and then sadly had to say goodbyes and carry all the delightful memories with us all the long way home!

The whole group - all except for the photographer!

Thanks so much Knapp's for providing us with such fabulous care during our stay at the Knapp Inn - wish we could do it all over again :) -Faith
