Birthday Blitz: Part V

Announcing our fifth birthday to celebrate: a special Miss Lily Jane!! We love you so much, sweet princess! Is it true? You're 8??! No way!

It was so good to have you back after your little get-away to Grandma's. So, actually, Grandma and Grandpa were here for a little impromptu birthday "party!" You opened your gifts, then we had supper together before they had to leave. 

Here's to our four birthdays- finally all celebrated!

 We got to go to some good friends' house after church services. We stayed up to see the New Year in and to sing you happy birthday. Nobody else gets to stay up to see their birthday in!

And then, when we (finally) woke up the next day- it was STILL your birthday, lucky girl! This year, Jared got to pick the cake, which he did a great job at because it wasn't very difficult. His fish turned out just like he wanted it to- yay! We took the cake to celebrate with some *very* good friends (they're on this blog almost as much as we are) after lunch.... and until lunch the next day- now that's one BIG birthday party.

No one has to know how many times we had to tell Jared to put his arm around you- he did it!

Actually, we weren't really getting together to celebrate your birthday only, but that's okay. It was one of the most well attended birthday parties our family has ever had! We love you so, so much, Lily! You are growing up way too fast. -Mom
