Yesterday, we celebrated yet another special day in our family. Marcus is truly becoming a young man before our eyes. He is now officially twelve years old!! Marcus has become a real help to me doing many tasks around the house that I once had to take care of. It won't be long and I'll be able to sit back in my lazy boy and watch him work... :) He is a normal twelve year old boy with lofty ambitions of raising goats, going hunting and someday being a farmer. He is looking forward to going out and shooting some birds here in the near future with his new pellet gun. He's getting to be just about as tall as his mom and I. Marcus, I'm thankful you are my son and I pray that you continue to grow into the man God has designed you to be! I love you - Dad
Our family enjoyed a wonderful day while we passed the time between two family Christmases. Its so great we have such a wonderful Grandma who lets us move in and take over her house for several days. Yesterday was even her day off and she was willing to spend it playing and reading and doing puzzles and listening and anything else the kids wanted to do. Faith and Marcus spend the day working for Grandma Leman but they came back in time for a yummy pizza party to celebrate the birthday boy. It was great to have Grandma as our guest since a lot of our birthday parties are attended by just us. : )
Marcus requested dirt dessert instead of cake, so we served up our dirty farm boy some dirty, wormy dessert. (it looked more like dirty snow than pure dirt, but he didn't seem to mind)
