The Blessing Continues!

A few weeks ago, I got to spend some delightful time sewing again with great friends! We had a fabulous time together -as we always do. We spent most of our time sewing (thankfully we didn't run into as many problems as last time:)) and actually managed to get 15 dresses completed and a few more started!!

After I posted about dresses last time, a wonderful, giving person happened to read our blog. She contacted us and told us that she had yards and yards of fabric that she had stored up through the years and wasn't using anymore! She was happy to give it to us so we could use it for a good cause. The material she gave us is super cute (especially compared to some things we've used in the past :)) and was so fun to work with! Thanks to all of you who sent material - we appreciate it and I'm sure the Haitian girls will too!

Everybody was enthusiastic and excited about it and worked real fast!

We even had some extra help for part of the time :)

Aren't they lovely?
Singing around the piano - one of our favorite things to do together

I don't know if you can tell or not, but I actually tried some new patterns (thanks Mom :)) and successfully made several XL and XXL dresses! This means that older girls will be able to wear the dresses too!  And, since I was feeling especially inspired I tried using three different fabrics on a couple of the dresses.

We are hoping to send the dresses with a group going to Haiti in January, so maybe we will get some pictures to share! Thanks Stoller's for letting us take over the house for a while, and thank-you so much to Ruth, and all of the others who gave material!

Hope you all got a good start to your week! We are enjoying some relaxing and vacation time here in Branson, and hope to go see the Christmas play tomorrow! Stay tuned!! -Faith
