Making Memories in Branson

Instead of Christmas presents from Grandpa and Grandma this year, we made special memories in Branson together (which will last a lot longer than gifts)! We made the trip a bit longer (and added a few hours in the car) by spending the a short but blessed weekend in Kansas for Haylie's baptism. We arrived to our cozy condo Sunday evening and settled in for an exciting couple of days!

Grandpa's big pancakes are always a hit no matter where you are :)

Monday morning we gave Grandpa and Grandma a few hours of peace and quiet while we went to the Titanic Museum. It was pretty neat to learn more about the historic ship!

Tuesday we spent the whole afternoon at Sight and Sound Theatre where we watched the Miracle of Christmas. It was so magnificent! Our favorite part was when the angels were lowered down from the ceiling on cables and swung over the audience singing!

We went a few hours earlier and took a Behind the Scenes Tour where we got to see a bunch of set pieces and how they are made, costumes, dressing rooms, animals and learn about all that goes on behind the scenes. Our tour guides were actors themselves so it was neat meeting them and then watching them act!

We listened to a few Christmas carols before the show began.

Squeezing in a bit of swimming before supper!
It was such a delightful get-a-way, but too short! We left Wednesday morning and got home to find school waiting to be done. Thank you so much Grandpa and Grandma for everything - It was wonderful to spend the time with you!
