This week was an exciting week - we did something that we've never done before. Dad had a conference in Chicago for three nights, and so Mom decided that we should split up the time a little by spending one night at Grandpa and Grandma's! This idea suited everyone, of course, and we were packed up and pulling out the drive at 12:22 p.m. on Wednesday!
We did some shopping and other things in Peoria, and then arrived at our destination just in time for supper. After church that evening, Marcus and Jared went home with Herrmann's to spend the night, and Elise stayed at Grandma's with Lily. Elise and Lily had quite the time together dressing up, playing house, and all sorts of things!
On Thursday, A. Dawn and brought the boys in for a delicious lunch at Grandma's!
After lunch, we spent some time playing games, and then it was time for us to head out. We did more shopping on the way home, ate supper and arrived in Fairbury just in time for my violin rehearsal (thanks Todd for saving the day :)).
Our mini get-a-way went flying by, but we enjoyed every minute of it!! Thanks Grandma and Grandpa, and Herrmann's for letting us come! -Faith
