On Wednesday, May 29th, was Mom's birthday (yes, you guessed it....she was spoiled again :)). On Tuesday night we made a cake while she took Marcus to guitar lessons. We took it downstairs and put it in the storage room, and hoped she wouldn't see it. At about 6:40 a.m., Wednesday morning, we (Dad and the kids) left for Peoria to shop for Mom's birthday. We went to Grandpa and Grandma's first, and we stayed there while Dad had a meeting with Grandma B. Me and Marcus got to go fishing with Grandpa - which we love to do. We caught about 11 fish, but only one was a keeper, and one isn't enough for a meal, so we had to throw it back in. After we went fishing we went back to eat lunch. Then we left for Peoria with Dad and started shopping for Mom. What should we get her?? We got her a decorative cover for her iPhone. She loved it. We also got her some good and plenty's - her favorite kind of candy.
On the way home we stopped at Chenoa Family Restaurant for supper. After we were done eating our delicious supper, we came outside to find our van door wide open facing the highway. Isn't that nice?!
We got home and started unloading while the whole time Kenan was hollering "Time for cake!!! Time for cake!!!" We were sure she knew about it now. But she didn't!! We brought it up from downstairs....and she was completely surprised!! She never even saw it.-Jared
(editor's note: okay, okay, I admit, May is all about me. But it is nice : ) In case you were wondering, I spent my day off putting away school records for the year, which is a very big job, and eating out with some wonderful girlfriends. It was a wonderful day- thanks again, crew! I don't deserve you!! )
