Graduation Night

This past Monday night, we gathered at Fairview Haven for our last Toastmaster class! We had a little graduation ceremony and then refreshments afterwards. It was great to be in this class, but it was also great to end the class and move onto other things :).

Marcus had the privilage of starting our evening by reciting a Bible verse. Then two girls gave a welcome, and we had a prayer, and then each one of our teachers spoke.

Jared and Lily's class was represented by one of the boys giving a speech about how he enjoyed the class.
Kate got to represent Marcus' class by giving her speech about mashed potatoes and gravy (great job, Kate)! One week, Marcus' teacher told them to write a speech about mashed potatoes and gravy to see how creative they could be. I wish I could have heard them because they all sounded really neat!
For my class, we each stood up and said two toastmaster basics: Simple guidelines for public speaking.
