funny fun

Last Tuesday we took our new twelve passenger Chevy van to Eureka to see a Stutzman family concert. Just in case you didn't know, they are a very religious family who travels all over the country singing at different places. After some very cool songs and a prayer, a ventriloquist came out. If you don't know what that is it is a man that can talk without moving his lips. He had a lot of different puppets and he would put his hand up in them and he would talk like them and it looked liked they were talking. Then he told us this story that was very funny of when he was acting the Christmas skit with a ton of little kids. He was Joseph and he was holding a doll (Baby Jesus). Every thing was going crazy and he all of a sudden he cried without moving his lips (as if it were Jesus). And they were sore afraid, they looked like they had seen a heavenly host. Then he said guess what, I didn't get invited back this year. After many other funny things we got back in the van and rode happily home.  -Marcus

We all found the show simply amazing. It was very difficult to believe that the puppets were not real. At the end, he removed his hand and the puppet just sat there, completely "dead". He then shared with us how his life was "dead" without Jesus, and then when Jesus came into his life, he became alive and now can do many things. It made a very real illustration to all of us. If you want to get a taste of what we saw click here. Of course it was all the more entertaining for us because we knew many of the "volunteers."
