Berries and Birthdays and one.berry.good.birthday

There is nothing like a home-grown strawberry, especially right from your backyard, right?

 

     But what about when five (well, four probably) sweet kiddos pick the patch and then stem and wash and freeze them and you find them waiting to be bagged and this all happened while they were home alone and you were enjoying a special date with their dad for your birthday?

And to top it off you find love notes waiting and five kids sleeping when you get home. This is almost as good as my 30th six *yikes* years ago! (well, not quite. That was one BIG birthday celebration! anyone remember?)
