Last week Marcus saw a raccoon up in our tree. The raccoon was very big and high up in the tree. We needed our neighbor to shoot it. He got off the school bus and we went to tell him about the raccoon. He came over to our house with a rifle. He dry fired it. That means that the rifle is broken so he went to get the shotgun. That dry fired, too. So, he went and got a shotgun that would blow it right out of the tree. Boom Boom! First, a pile of leaves came down and then the fat raccoon came down with a great big thud.

The very next day, Faith found...Mittens with a batch of newborn kittens! In the spring, she had kittens just like she usually does. All of them died, except the one that Addy bought at our farmer's market- she is doing very well! And Mittens didn't die either. But now, we have been thinking that she is fatter than normal. That's when we found the kittens. Do you think they will make it through the fall and winter? I do. - Jared
