Making the Most of our Last Summer Days

We thoroughly enjoyed our last summer days but on Monday they all ended and we started back into a routine! These are some of the things we did:

1. The boys got a special fun day and had some friends over. They even got corn dogs for lunch!

2. One cool Saturday morning, Mom, Marcus, and I biked from our house to Highway 24. We ended up biking 9 1/2 miles! It took us about an hour.

3. One Friday evening our family decided to camp out. We sat around the fire and roasted marshmallows and things like that, and pretty soon it was time to go to bed. About 3:00 in the morning, the cat came around and made a bunch of noise. Lily started crying and was all scared so Dad just took her inside . In the morning Mom said, "I don't think we will camp again for awhile!" (nobody slept!!)

4. Then the next night we camped out again with the neighbors. It was quite an experience! But it was well deserved because that day we canned three different things. Bing Cherries, Tomato Sauce, and Green Beans.

5. Last Tuesday evening, Dad and I got to go to a special Father/Daughter supper together. There was a speaker and his daughters (he was from Princeville!) and they talked to us after the meal. It was fun- I hope Dad and I get to do that again!

Well better wrap it up and get to bed -tomorrow is the BIG BIBLE BEE DAY! -Faith
