Last night we "celebrated" Father's Day since we are going to be blessed with some great guests to spend time with on Sunday. We had homemade pizza and the Dilly bars that came with my DQ ice cream birthday cake (we got TWO celebrations out of that cake, Grimm's! thanks!!). Then we enjoyed sharing some gifts and cards. We have a great Daddy! (And with our hearts full of concern for Dave's cousin and her husband, who has just had major brain surgery to remove a tumor, our dad is an extra special blessing not to be taken for granted.) Anyway, back to topic... our suppertime conversation reminded me of something Jared had said after my big Mother's day (week) celebration:
At the end of the week, after the present was opened and I shared my thanks for all they had done and how wonderful it had been, Jared let out a long sigh and stated,"I wish there was a KID's day." :) After the treatment I had received, I actually can see why he said that!
Anyway, Lily said the same thing last night! Well, we are leaving on vacation Monday morning, so I told them we are about to have a kids' WEEK! More then!-Kara
