People, Pumpkins, and Pioneers

Notice I didn't say sleep! Anyway, this weekend we invited Brittany and her kids from Bluffton, Indiana. They arrived at 8:00 p.m. on Friday evening. We had a wonderful time playing Occupation, "I Never", the clapping game, and some other mystery games. The time ticked away and when we finally got to bed it was 12:15 which would have been 1:15 for them. Oh did I forget to mention we had three-musketeers running around (that would be Lily, Kyra, and Ivory)! The boys were up at 7:00 and the girls 7:30 and well, we won't talk about the parents right now. After our stomachs were full of pancakes,we roller bladed and carved some pumpkins. When lunch was over with, we headed to Lake of the Woods to an Early American Museum (we posted about it recently). We enjoyed dressing up like pioneers and cooking by the hearth. We had some other families in the evening and had an awesome game of Courthouse in the dark. Sadly, after supper on Sunday they had to leave at 6:30. I think that we all agree that it was one of the best weekends we've ever had!-Faith
