The cold weather was getting tiresome so we decided to go to Florida!!!!!!! Very unfortunately, Faith choose to go on a work team instead of going to Florida with her family. We missed her ( I did anyway) but still had a great week!!! We left for Florida on Thursday, January 4th. We traveled through the night arriving in Atlanta, Georgia, safely with a sigh of relief at one a.m. Besides almost plowing into a mini van (thankfully Marcus woke Dad up, just in the nick of time, believe me, no one slept the hour or so after that incident happened) it was a great trip. We enjoyed the day spent with the Knapps. We wish we could have stayed longer, but Saturday morning we were on the road again for another day of traveling. We arrived at the beach in the evening and after a short trek out to the beach (it wasn't the best weather), Grandma and Grandpa arrived and we enjoyed a hearty supper.
On Sunday morning, all of us except Grandma and Grandpa went to Fort Myers church. We really enjoyed the day we spent with Karl and Carrie. It was a ton of fun!!!
Monday and Tuesday were spent on the beach. Playing in the sand, taking walks, wading in the water, and just relaxing in the warm weather!!!!! Also on Tuesday morning, the boys went deep sea fishing! The fish were really good! I even liked them!!! Wednesday we went to Epcot and enjoyed it, but we all voted Sea World was better! Thursday was another day on the beach, and Friday we lasted about 15 minutes, before we realized it is kind of dumb to sit on a beach covered with towels for at least a little warmth, and trying everything to keep the blowing sand away. So we ended up spending some time playing games inside and what we enjoyed most about Friday was watching an epic fail live from our condo's window!!!! We also enjoyed a walk to the village to look for some T-shirts in the evening when the weather was pleasant! Our other evenings were spent playing games, watching movies, or just relaxing!!!!! All in all it was a great week!!!!!!

We loved reliving are Florida trip four years ago. We even stayed in the same house! It was kind of annoying because there was only three bedrooms which meant I had to sleep on the couch for a whole week. It was very wonderful to sleep in a bed again when we got home!!!!

They were going to play best of 3. But then it was best out of 5. They finally stopped at 7 I think. Grandpa won't let his Grandchildren beat him in checkers, but he had to give in! Jared proved to be the better player!!!!

I guess I'll tell about the epic fail we enjoyed watching on Friday!!! A tree service was cutting down a tree across the road. The one guy had his ladder against the rotten palm tree and was cutting above him! Dad was going to take a video of how ignorant the guy was being and totally predicted the tree would fall down and it did!!! The tree came down with the ladder and the man!!! It was so funny!!! But we did feel sorry for the guy, he didn't get hurt seriously but I do think he was in a little pain. (He would have been in more pain had he known that we had watched the whole thing!)
We had such a great trip! Made so many memories!!! But I'll admit the first time we came was much better because I had never been to an ocean!!! It was all new and this time it was the same!!! But it was still a lot of fun and I'm so glad Grandma and Grandpa could come! Thanks, Grandpa and Grandma! We left Saturday morning and were going to drive the rest of the way home but didn't want to get caught in the bad weather in the middle of the night so stopped 4 hours away from home and traveled the rest of the way on Sunday morning! I am so glad for another wonderful Florida trip!! And a whole bunch of new memories!!!!!! -Lily
