Our Capital Adventure || Part 5

While Faith, Jared, Marcus, and Dad were at the Holocaust Museum, Kenan, Mom, and I had a great day at our cottage. Mom let us do whatever we wanted, because it wasn't our house. She even let us stay in our pj's.

We started out by building a fort with the couch cushions, blankets, and chairs. It was really fun
if we ignored the roof caving in every second.

Next we pretended to ride on the Metro. We had left over tickets from the real Metro, so that made it fun. After playing Metro for a while, Mom played Dutch Blitz with us. She smoked us, of course, but it was still really fun.

After we ate something for lunch we headed outside for some exercise. Mom made us get dressed. We played Mini golf first. We didn't keep score, and I have to admit that we cheated a little, or maybe more than just a little. About halfway through the game, Mom told me that my purple ball matched my shirt. And then I said, Your pink ball matches your shirt! and then Kenan said, my red ball matches my shirt! It was so funny!

After a game of mini golf we took a little hike on the trail, which took us to the playground.

The playground was really fun. We played that it was the Mayflower. When we were done playing at playground we headed back to our cottage. While we were waiting for the others to get home we watched a movie. When they came back we had supper. Then we went swimming in the campground's outdoor pool. It was pretty cold, but at least there weren't many people there. I also got a shirt that says Washington D.C. I had an awesome vacation, and an awesome day -Lily
