I had been asking Mom and Dad to take me on a train for a very long time. I was so surprised when Mom told me that we were taking the train on our field trip to Springfield!
We finally got to the station. We had to wait a long time for the train.
But it finally came to pick us up! Our homeschool group had the whole train car to ourselves! The funny part is that the seats were going the opposite way the train was going!
We got on the train and a couple minutes after that, we ate lunch.
This is a picture of the Capitol but we didn't go inside. It looked amazing.
This is a picture of the Old Capitol. We had a great tour of it. Abraham Lincoln used this Capitol. It was very busy this day. And there were lots of workers.
This was our tour guide. She was very good.
This was the Lincoln Museum, my best part of the day. It even had the White House in it! There was a statue of Abraham Lincoln and his wife and sons. It was so good we took a picture beside it.

| I liked the store. |
Slavery at the time of Lincoln was terrible. I was glad that I was not in the time of Abraham Lincoln because might have been slave.
There was a fun play room that Mom let me and Lily play in for quite a while when were all done touring the museum. It had dress-up clothes!
