Thursday evening we got to participate in a geography fair with our homeschool group. We got to visit the Arctic, Alaska, Mexico, Zambia, the Holy Land, Canada, Brazil, and then we represented India. Thanks to Aunt Carolyn for all of the Indian costumes and such, and pictures from their trip to India in November. Actually they used to be missionaries there quite a few years ago!

I gave a speech about Amy Carmichael who was an missionary in India (notice the Indian sari I am wearing - it took us forever to get figured out and probably five youtube videos :))
Marcus also gave a speech on Gandhi who was considered the Father of India.
It was a great evening - not to be taken for granted because we almost didn't get to do it! In the late afternoon, the weather conditions were so terrible that it had to be cancelled, like many other activities this winter. But then just before it would have started, the fog cleared and sure enough, our phone rang asking if we could still do it! We were really worried that we wouldn't get to do our presentation, right Marcus? Whew- close call!! :) -Faith
Just in case anyone needed to laugh today - on our way to the Geography Fair, Kenan was talking about how he wanted to be a truck driver when he grows up. All of the sudden he said, "I'm tired of being a kid!" We quickly asked why and his ready response was- "because you always say I'm a nut!" (maybe we do! I guess we should stop; however, he is very, very funny a lot of the time...)
