Piddlin' with Pillows (and other things)

While the boys have been keeping busy with all of the dust, dirt, and paint in the kitchen, the sewing room has been bustling with activity as well! Along with sewing dresses, I finished some decorative pillows for my bedroom! Mom has also been busy too, trying to finish some comforters for the boys' room that Grandma B. started. Those aren't completed just yet, but hopefully, sometime, we'll be able to share the finished products!

A while ago (like a really long while ago) Mom and I were shopping and happened across a pillow that matched my bedroom perfectly and was really cute! However, the price tag seemed way too unreasonable, so we decided to let it be our inspiration and try to make our own! Here's how it turned out:

On Saturday, I finished the second pillow (inspired by Pinterest :)) and I really like how they look together on my bed!

Actually, while I was composing the post, Mom successfully finished the comforter for Jared's bed!! So, here's a couple snapshots - hopefully Marcus' is done soon too!

Didn't she do a great job? Actually, some of the credit goes
to Grandma B. for cutting out and sewing together all of the jean squares.

Dad was also busy - stressing over this light fixture and trying to get it up correctly for the fourth time now. It is up successfully as of now - let's just hope it stays up :)

Great job, Dad :)

Wow! It's pretty amazing what all we can accomplish here when we have an evening at home as a family! :) -Faith
