Toast Masters

Once a week we are going to Fairview Haven and participating in a speech class which is called Toast Masters. I don't know how it got its name but I would agree it is a different name. I can't tell you much about it because we have only been to our first class, but I will tell you all I can. For the first thing, we divide in to three groups. 1st-4th grades, 5th-6th, and then the rest. We didn't do much the first time but we did split up and play a few little speech games. Next week we have to give what they call an ice-breaker speech. In it you tell about yourself and what you like to do. Jared isn't excited but I am a little bit.  -Marcus

(actually all four of my school kids are doing this so it will be interesting! We will see if Lily can open her mouth and give her speech Monday night... but she sure is putting a great effort into writing and practicing it! All four will be streeeeeeeeeetched by this class but a little out-of-the-comfort-zone experiences are good for all of us, right? Well, ask me in about six weeks.)
