The Zoo

Last Friday we went to the zoo. It was fun and interesting. Marcus and Faith stayed home. They missed out. We saw baby tigers. It was awesome. And we saw a lion that yawned. And we saw an emu. He smiled for the camera. We saw a kookaburra, which was cool because right now I am playing "Kookaburra sits in the old gum tree" on the piano. -Jared

The tigers were fantastic! I have gone to alot of zoos in my life and don't remember ever seeing such active,  little tiger cubs playing with their mama- and so up close. I really needed my good camera! :) Jared, however, was the main photographer on this outing. Same thing with the lions. I don't know if it was the cool weather or what, but the animals came up so close and were so frisky! We truly had a delightful time, complete with a picnic lunch under shelter with our coats zipped up. -Kara

(as we were talking about it later, Jared confessed that he had always thought that "Kookaburra" was a famous person! :)
